The Washington Post wins two 2011 National Press Club awards

Last night, The Washington Post won two first-place honors at The National Press Club awards. Dan Balz won the Lee Walczak Award for Political Analysis for his writing about the atmosphere that set the stage for GOP gains in the 2010 elections. Al Kamen won the Gingras Humor Award for his consistently humorous columns on life in the nation’s capital, delivered with a “dollop of news.”

Post style writer Paul Farhi also received the Rowse Award for Press Criticism (print/online) for his work in American Journalism Review.
