Ideas@Innovations covers perspectives on innovation from Post reporters, new voices
Today The Washington Post launches “Ideas@Innovations,” a new blog that covers the latest innovative ideas and advancements in key sectors such as energy, technology, education, law, health-care, urban development and environment.
The blog is part of a new online section that features daily original Washington Post reporting related to innovation and introduces a column from Vivek Wadhwa, a senior research associate at Harvard Law School and director of research at Duke University’s Center for Entrepreneurship. The Ideas@Innovations blog features Dominic Basulto, former editor of Fortune’s Business Innovation Insider.
“With frequent changes in technology, business, education and other sectors, this is a section where we can engage in conversations about trends and topics in innovation that affect people every day,” said Raju Narisetti, Managing Editor, The Washington Post.
As a columnist, Wadhwa (@wadhwa) will challenge traditional approaches to how businesses, organizations and individuals work and write about trends in innovation. In addition to his role at Harvard, Wadhwa is an advisor to several start-up companies and founded two software companies. Wadhwa’s recent columns focused on why the university research commercialization system is broken and how to fix it.
Basulto (@dominicbasulto) will analyze the week’s news, identifying original approaches and breakthroughs. The blog will also feature guest voices.
In coming months, Ideas@Innovations will feature interviews and videos with professionals, policy experts and administration officials. The section plans to highlight a new development each week with readers able to vote on the best innovations.
